Wedding photography at Holne Park House
It was fantastic to return to Holne Park House near Ashburton for the first time in a couple of years — and it certainly didn’t disappoint! This stunning Devon wedding venue remains just as beautiful as ever, with immaculate grounds, elegant interiors, and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere throughout the day.
This wedding was especially memorable as it was the first time I’ve photographed an outdoor ceremony at Holne Park House. Surrounded by the breathtaking countryside and peaceful gardens, it created the perfect setting for a truly romantic celebration.
I first met this lovely couple in Exeter where we enjoyed a relaxed chat over a drink before later meeting again near Okehampton for their Engagement shoot on Dartmoor. From the beginning, it was clear they were completely comfortable together, easy-going, and simply excited to enjoy every moment of their Wedding day.
One thing I absolutely love about the couples I work with is how relaxed they are. There’s never any pressure or awkward posing — just genuine moments, laughter, and people enjoying themselves. That natural connection always shines through in the photographs and helps create timeless memories that truly reflect the day.
Holne Park House continues to be one of my favourite Wedding venues in Devon. The building itself is full of character, while the surrounding grounds offer endless opportunities for beautiful Wedding photography.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and professional throughout the day, making everything run smoothly from start to finish. It’s always a pleasure working alongside venues where the team genuinely care about creating the best possible experience for every couple and guest.

Relaxed Wedding at Harefield Barn-Devon
What a beautiful October day it was at one of my favourite Devon Wedding venues — Harefield Barn near Crediton. With gorgeous autumn light, relaxed countryside surroundings, and a warm atmosphere throughout the day, this Wedding was an absolute joy to photograph.
This celebration was especially lovely as two beautiful Brides tied the knot surrounded by around 60 of their closest family and friends. The entire day was filled with laughter, emotion, and so many genuine moments that perfectly reflected their personalities and relationship.
Harefield Barn is such a fantastic venue for Wedding photography. One of the things I love most is the incredible natural light the venue offers throughout the day.
Outside, the open countryside and soft evening light create the perfect setting for relaxed couple portraits. Inside, the barn itself is bright, airy, and beautifully designed, which makes photographing key moments like speeches and candid guest reactions so much easier and more natural.
The venue always has such a calm and welcoming atmosphere, helping couples and guests feel relaxed from the moment they arrive.
My approach is always about capturing real moments without making couples feel uncomfortable or overly posed. I want you to enjoy your Wedding while I quietly document all the emotion, laughter, and memories as they happen.
If you’re planning a Wedding at Harefield Barn near Crediton, I’d love to hear from you.
Stunning Wedding at Sandy Cove Hotel
What a beautiful Wedding day this was at the incredible Sandy Cove Hotel in North Devon. This venue is without doubt one of my absolute favourites to photograph, and after shooting here five weeks in a row during June last year, it’s easy to see why couples fall in love with it.
Perched on the dramatic North Devon coastline, Sandy Cove Hotel offers breathtaking sea views, stunning sunsets, and the perfect atmosphere for relaxed coastal Weddings. The ever-changing light, sea air, and dramatic scenery create such a unique feel to the photographs.
This lovely couple came from the South East for their special day. Well worth the long drive.
It was a very intimate Wedding with around 25 guests. The day was very chilled and I had plenty of time with them to get some gorgeous photos.
If you are planning a Wedding here I'd love to hear from you.
Symondsbury Tithe Barn-Relaxed Dorset Wedding
As expected, Weddings at Symondsbury Tithe Barn are always something special! Set amongst the beautiful Dorset countryside, this venue delivers everything you could want from a relaxed and stylish Wedding day — stunning views, incredible food, lovely people, and the perfect atmosphere to celebrate.
This Wedding had it all. A really cool couple, fun family and friends, gorgeous weather, and a laid-back vibe from start to finish. Days like this are exactly why I love being a Wedding photographer.
The Tithe barn is light and bright but rustic, not something you usually get together. My favourite part of the Wedding day is the couple portraits with the well known Colmers Hill in the background. Such a stunning view.
The atmosphere here always feels calm, welcoming, and effortlessly relaxed — helping couples truly enjoy every moment of their Wedding day.
I highly recommend this venue for a a fun and relaxed day.
Wedding photography at Sandy Cove Hotel
Perched above the cliffs with breathtaking sea views, Sandy Cove Hotel is easily one of the most picturesque Wedding venues in the South West. From the dramatic coastline to the peaceful atmosphere, it offers the perfect setting for couples wanting a romantic and relaxed Wedding day.
These guys made the long journey from up north for this reason. They brought with them around 20 guests and they all absolutely loved it here!
This was a pleasure to photograph. Small intimate Weddings are great as I get lots more time to photograph the couple in a relaxed way.

Another amazing Wedding again at Sandy Cove Hotel in North Devon. Definitely one of my favourite venues to photograph Weddings at.
The weather was gorgeous as was the views of the rugged North Devon coastline.
The Bride and Groom looked amazing and their Wedding guests were a great bunch, lots of fun later into the evening reception.

Humber Barn-Devon Wedding venue
There’s something special about a countryside Wedding in Devon. Rolling hills, rustic barns, unpredictable weather, and a relaxed atmosphere all come together to create Weddings that feel authentic, emotional, and unforgettable. This Wedding at Humber Barn in Devon was the perfect example.
Just before the ceremony, the heavens opened.
Heavy rain swept across the venue minutes before guests were due to take their seats outdoors. In true Wedding fashion, the incredible venue staff quickly jumped into action, moving chairs, decorations, and ceremony details into the rustic barn space at the last minute. Everyone got absolutely soaked — but honestly, nobody cared.
The couple, their family, and friends were an absolute laugh from start to finish. The atmosphere all day was full of energy, humour, and genuine joy, proving once again that the best Weddings are not about perfect weather — they’re about people.
Couples often worry about rain on their Wedding day, but honestly, some of the most memorable Wedding photographs happen during unpredictable weather.
The dramatic skies, soft natural light, reflections from wet ground, and everyone embracing the moment can create images full of emotion and character. Instead of guests disappearing during bad weather, everyone stayed together, laughed through the chaos, and made the absolute most of the day.
Luckily later on in the evening the sun appeared once again and the garden games started. Everyone had a great time.
If you’re planning a Wedding at Humber Barn or another rustic Wedding venue in Devon, relaxed documentary-style photography is perfect for capturing the real atmosphere of the day.
From emotional ceremonies to chaotic weather moments and packed dance floors, the best Wedding photographs are often the unplanned ones.
